Amec Foster Wheeler HSE Officer in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a HSE Officer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This role is based in our office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia and will be working on the Khurais - Sulphate Removal Faclities Program.
Act as an Ambassador of the company in all aspects of HSES and Ensure actions from inspections / audits are tracked to ensure closure in accordance with AmecFW Work Procedures
Maintain the worksite HSES plan, Issue to all site personnel a site HSES relevant documentation, noting the main HSE and security requirements, and Produce safe working method statements, and risk assessments
Review safe working method statements, and risk assessments produced by the construction contractors and Carry out daily HSES inspections of the total site and temporary facilities
Immediately stop any unsafe work practices, which are likely to cause accidents, damage to health, or are non‑compliant with national regulations / procedures. Occurrences of unsafe actions must be brought to the attention of the appropriate discipline supervisor, and senior HSES responsible person
Ensure first aid, fire, and security facilities are sufficient and available. Provide training where necessary. Prepare and conduct site HSES induction courses for all site personnel based on the AmecFW standard
Be aware of the emergency procedures, plans and emergency assembly points. Attend site safety committee meetings as and when required and Conduct training sessions with the field supervision on matters such as HSES performance, safety and environmental legislation, and permits to work
Ensure all site HSES equipment is available, in good condition and in sufficient quantities for the labour force. Prior to purchase, ensure all safety equipment complies with Amec Foster Wheeler and Client standards, specifications, and applicable national regulations
Advise the field supervision on matters relating to HSES and participate in 'tool box' talks with the site labour. Inspect the construction contractors’ plant, tools and equipment prior to use and ensure relevant certification is correct, current and available.
Monitor waste management for proper control regarding hazardous waste disposal by the construction contractors, and elevate any non-compliance to the senior HSES responsible person
Supervise (where required) and monitor security arrangements at the site entrance, exit and at the workplace to ensure compliance with security arrangements
Compile accident and incident statistics. Ensure site offices, and buildings are safe, and correctly maintained and Maintain regular communication with construction Home Office HSES operations
Provide the support necessary to contribute towards efficient Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) management. The main aim being to create secure, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the site, while protecting the environment during both, construction and commissioning, operations
Be aware of the contents of the Amec Foster Wheeler HSES Procedures and Work Practices, and Client safe working procedures. Monitor the duties and controls detailed by the Site HSES Plan, pertaining to health, safety, the environment and security requirements to ensure continuous compliance
Have an understanding of the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, and ensure sites are managed to these standards
Assist with HSES training for site personnel as required and Provide HSES performance data and HSES reviews. Assist in carrying out the HAZCON risk assessment process as required
Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in HSE Role or similar position
