General Technician - Wyndham Garden Dammam
The General Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department. He/ she will assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets, in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
Ensure that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested and certified per hotel standards or authority having jurisdiction.
Actively participate in energy conservation programs as per Wyndham’s standards.
Review all Guest and Meeting Planner comment cards to ensure that problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner.
Assist in developing financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings.
Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations.
Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed and within budgeted guidelines.
Maintain a thorough log of daily activities and problems including documenting decisions and rationale for repairs and/or recommendations for replacements of major mechanical equipment.
Act as a technical resource for locations regarding corrective, preventative, and/or routine repair and maintenance procedures and techniques such as, but not limited to: HVAC/refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, electrical systems, boilers and hot water systems, and life safety systems. Conduct emergency work on HVAC, kitchen, laundry, or water systems outages.
Follow Wyndham safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.
Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar experience in the hospitality experience.
A good level of spoken English
