This role is support Drilling Services (DS) Operations data requirements in Saudi Arabia region. Baker Hughes is looking for an experienced, self-motivated and passionate Data software engineer with
The responsibilities include conducting software support, development and integration of new software solutions required to support current and upcoming operations data needs.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports technical software support
Operate and provide support to existing and new software systems
Develop and implement data automation software solutions
Develop and implement basic level databases, support data collection/data analytics systems
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct source or data problems
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Review operational deltas, issues and successes to ensure valid technical assumptions, improvements and procedure changes are captured and implemented
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Work with regional and global teams to ensure resilience of service and information security
Handle special projects as assigned
Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Basic Programming knowledge in C, C++, C#
Knowledge in Windows 2000/2003/2008 networking environment
Knowledge in LAN, WAN, IP addressing and submitting, Routing concepts
Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Platforms (9.x, NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, Exchange Server, Active Directory)
Knowledge in Configuration and Managing of Servers and Workstations
Knowledge in Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003 & 2008 Active Directory
Extensive knowledge in Computer Hardware
Good troubleshooting skills(Hardware and Software)
Knowledge in Microsoft Application(MS office , MS access an share point)
Preferably experience working on similar role before
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably IT)
Possesses good interpersonal skills with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Good communication skills – both verbal and written
Good communication and technical report writing skill
Demonstrated proficiency with Internet applications, including e-mail clients and strong desire to develop and grow in knowledge and experience
