Amec Foster Wheeler Rotating Equipment Engineer in Jubail Region, Saudi Arabia

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to work on the PMC phase of the Fadhili Gas Plant project. This assignment has a duration of twelve months and will be based on a remote site, 60km north of Jubail.

  • Provide clear direction and input during the selection of rotating equipment, assisting the Project manager

  • Detailed involvement in the procurement, installation and commissioning of rotating equipment

  • Provide Technical Advice and Support to the assigned team

  • Develop spares holding philosophy and strategy for critical rotating equipment through collaborative effort with the Owner

  • Develop and implement rotating equipment reliability improvement plans to include proper startup and shutdown procedures, development of operating envelopes, defining condition

  • Monitor tasks and machinery data review

  • Work closely with the machinery specialists, unit mechanical specialists, unit maintenance personnel, operations, Subject Matter Experts, Performance Unit Rotating Equipment Technical Authority, and outside shops as technical resources

  • Stay familiar with operating asset maintenance and operations site practices and personnel

  • Ensure that Aramco standards are followed during procurement, installation and start-up of rotating equipment

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • 12 years minimum industrial experience

  • 5 years’ experience in similar position

  • Experience in PMC / EPC organizations in the field of refinery / petrochemicals industries in specification, selection, testing and handling design issues of all rotating equipment in major projects of value not less than US $ 500 Million each

  • Chartered status is also preferable

  • Extensive experience, primarily in a contracting, operating or consultancy environment, working with process compressors, steam turbines and other rotating equipment

  • Experience of pump selection and performance characteristics

  • Additional experience of compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines and other process plant machinery would be an advantage

  • Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with a contractor, operator or consultancy on refinery, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or oil & gas projects

  • Familiarity with the following codes : API (610-619 Pumps / Compressors / Turbines ) ISO and ASME

  • Computer literate within Microsoft Office
