Preferred Qualifications

What you will be doing:

  • Become Oracle expert for a designated product set within the Technology Product portfolio that covers Oracle Database products, Data Integration and Big Data both on-premise and on the cloud.

  • Supporting the Sales organization in standard presales activities such as but not limited to:

o Providing responses to Requests for Information/Proposals.

o Preparing solution demonstrations & PoC (Proof of Concept) engagements by translating customer´s business needs into Oracle solutions.

o Preparing presentations in the area of expertise.

o Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to customers using the latest web technology.

o Educate customers, partners and the sales force on latest Oracle core technologies and solutions on private and public cloud.

o Object handling and winning against the competition

o Being able to deal with sales and implementation partners

o Understanding sales cycle and providing the right technical sales support

  • Knowing the latest technologies and solutions from both Oracle and its competitors.

  • Working with the virtual technology pre-Sales teams across Oracle organization.

  • Become specialized in Oracle Infrastructure as a service and Data Management like Database Products, Big Data, System Managements, Oracle Cloud, and Data Integration Solutions.

  • Working knowledge in Oracle Database and Options, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Integrations. Having public cloud experience with Oracle or non-Oracle cloud is a big plus.

  • Promote Oracle Cloud Strategy (private, hybrid and public cloud)

  • Be the subject matter expert of Oracle IaaS & data management cloud services

  • Gain experience with Oracle Core Technology, Oracle Database & Options, Exadata, Enterprise Manager and Data Center, Cloud stack and the sales process.

  • Support marketing and channels by delivering public events and workshops.

  • In this position you will be reporting to the presales core technology manager of the cluster and work closely with the field account team covering the Arabian Gulf States.

What we are looking for:

  • Talented graduate in Computer Science/Engineering with minimum of 5 years experience of working on deep dive Oracle projects that spans infrastructure, database, and engineered system.

  • Solid experience in deploying Oracle technology high availability solutions at all layers.

  • Knowledge of OS, virtualization, networking and storage is a big plus.

  • Willing to work in Saudi, preferably Riyadh, as Senior Pre-Sales Consultant covering Oracle Database products on- promise and on the cloud.

  • Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience of working with Oracle Database products, Exadata, Enterprise Manager, Data Integration, and cloud computing.

  • Working knowledge in data centers, infrastructure, database management, business continuity, and system management.

  • Understanding of the sales process and having some pre-sales experience.

  • Working knowledge of public cloud providers like AWS, MS Azure or Google is a big plus.

  • Willingness to work towards achieving goals in a changing and challenging environment.

  • Team player who can motivate and lead.

  • Self-dependent and proactive professional.

  • Capable of positioning and selling concepts and solutions to IT and business managers

  • Demonstrated ability to plan tasks and follow-up actions.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
