AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP Head of Marketing in Saudi Arabia

Developing and Implementing Marketing Strategy in KSA:

  • Drive the KSA Marketing strategy

  • Effectively direct, lead and motivate his/her team and support their effective cross-functional team working.

  • lead the development and implementation of the Therapy Area Business Brand Plans and the campaign plans deriving from the Product Team led by the Brand Leaders to achieve the agreed goals, managing costs and taking action to timely rectify performance if needed.

  • Manage lifecycle of strategic brands to ensure sustained growth.

  • Ensure Launch Excellence for new product launches

  • Develop projects and initiatives to help optimize and maximize the current Core brands portfolio.

  • Encourage a network of marketing interaction.

  • Ensure appropriate sources of market data and insights are being developed to allow product strategies to be optimized and ensure to have the right marketing mix.

Managing P&L:

  • Manage the rolling sales forecast across Saudi Arabia & coordinate that with Sales & Finance.

  • Ensure optimal implementation of pricing for new brands, this responsibility includes regional sign off and should be in line with product strategy.

  • Actively manage and supervise phasing of Marketing costs, sales costs, sales investment and personnel costs via the ABU process.

  • Monitor sales and product performance and ensure prior analysis of business opportunities.

  • Achievement of business plans for growth and profit. Shared P&L responsibility.

  • Ensure speed and cost effectiveness of roll-out of new commercial models.

Marketing Team Development:

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for Marketers in recruitment and selection, performance management, reward, learning and development and exit management facilitated by HR as appropriate

  • Manage coach and develop Marketing Managers

  • Demonstrate business ethics and ensure active respect of values, business ethics and local laws, policies and marketing procedures

  • Ongoing communication among stakeholders & regular feedback to senior management (SMT) on key business strategies such as budget, overall staffing, key personnel changes, key strategic elements, major tactical programs, progress & achievement versus agreed upon Key Performance Indicators.
