Systems Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for all integration, verification and validation (IV&V) activities within IDS. Over 700 employees of SVTAD provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive IV&V strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of IV&V including design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing through sell-off of IDS’ most sophisticated systems and technologies. NOTE – This role will require forward deployment to an International location, under the terms of a Long Term International Assignment managed by Raytheon International Assignment Services (IAS). Senior Systems Engineer II – Contractor Logistics Support The Contractor Logistics Support (CCLS) program is in need of Radar System Engineer Leads for international assignments at various locations supporting the AN/TPY-2 Radar. In this role, the Radar Systems Engineer Lead will manage the radar technical tasks on-site, including running/overseeing daily radar diagnostics, performing radar calibration, making weekly Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) measurements, performing Digital Simulation (DIGISIM) and Analog Simulation (ANASIM) missions, and managing 2-3 radar systems engineers on site. Provide technical support for the site radar systems issues and leading the troubleshooting efforts as needed or directed by the site manager. Supervise Engineering Change Notice (CN) implementation. Mission test execution as well as other duties assigned by the radar site manager. In addition, the lead will perform regular radar system engineering duties such as running engineering tests to troubleshoot radar system anomalies (e.g. REX, BSG, Antenna/Sub-array/TRIMMS). He/she will provide weekly reports on the status of engineering activities and maintain a radar performance notebook. In summary, the Radar Systems Engineer is responsible for the health and status of the radar as well as running the radar missions. This position requires a 1 year commitment and is an unaccompanied position. This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or G10 based on the candidate’s qualification as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. A secret clearance is required for this position. Roles and Responsibilities The roles and responsibilities for the Radar Systems Engineer Lead will include, but not be limited to the following: · Supervise Engineering Change Notice implementation · Regression Testing as required · Mission test definition/planning · Mission test execution · Engineering support for Configuration Management (CM) for hardware and software · Establish data collection/reduction/analysis requirements and procedures for the radar system · Assist in the establishment of RF Hazard/Keep-Out-Zones (KOZs) · Assist in the development and implementation of site-unique radiation procedures · Evaluate the adequacy and technical content of the operating procedure and work instructions. · Evaluate the adequacy and technical content of the Radar set-up and test plan, and the Environmental Health and Safety Plan. · Evaluate the adequacy of the existing radar system planned maintenance program · Comply with all QA and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) requirements associated with providing accurate and complete data in a timely manner · Provide technical support for the site radar system issues and leading the troubleshooting efforts as needed or directed by the site manager · Establish data collection/reduction/analysis requirements and procedures for the radar system · Assist in the development and implementation of site unique radiation procedures · Other duties as assigned by the site manager Basic Qualifications · Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or relate Science discipline · 6+ years of engineering experience working with DoD or Missile Defense systems · Experience with software/systems integration planning and execution Active Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Excellent interpersonal skills · Proven multi-tasking skills · Demonstrated excellence in past work performance · Masters of Science in an Engineering discipline · Certified Six Sigma Specialist · Experience leading small teams, managing work schedules and tracking performance towards delivering requirements · Good working knowledge of Unix ComTIA Security + Certification 97479
