Amec Foster Wheeler Document Controller in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller to support our Marjan project in al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Wood has been selected to develop a FEED for a mega program in the Onshore Eastern Province surrounding Tanajib, Safaniyah and Ju’aymah in Saudi Arabia. The increased crude and gas production will demand the initial expansion of an onshore GOSP (gas oil separation plant) at Tanajib, a Greenfield 2.5bnscf (billion standard cubic feet) gas plant, together with NGL (natural gas liquid) expansion at Wasit. This will all be supported by a new cogeneration power plant expected to generate 750 Mw (megawatts) for both onshore and offshore compression, together with power for onshore utilities.

  • Learn and practice Wood procedures

  • Develop and maintain document control processes for the efficient management and recording of all documentations

  • Receive, check, accurately record into Wood internal document control system and distribute all project drawings and documentation in an efficient and expeditious manner as requested by engineers. This must be done per agreed Project and Corporate Procedures

  • Monitor progress of in-house and Client reviews of technical data. Where required, input progress information (received from discipline engineers) accurately at regular intervals as specified by the project

  • Produce reports on documentation and progress as requested. Ensure that hard copy and electronic record files as required are maintained in good order to comply with QA requirements

  • Contribute to compilation of final project dossiers, as built portfolios and archiving. Produce exception reports on late documentation for management review

  • Process and record accurately all technical documentation in accordance with agreed procedures. Maintain effective organization and storage of documents and information

  • Set up an electronic library system for technical documentations as per Wood procedures. Control and maintain documentation for audit / internal requirements

  • Undertake other ad hoc projects / duties assigned by the PM, PCM & EM. Transmit and receive all correspondences / Documents

  • Coordinate with Client Document Controller in document handling. Develop Photocopies / bind and transmit documents as part of client’s submission. Effectively implement all relevant process and procedures

  • Support the Project Controls function, as required. Assist with the general project administration

  • Liaise with both departmental, corporate and project management teams

  • Bachelor's Degree with experience in similar function with Contractor or Owner

  • Must have good IT skills and be familiar with standard document control tools, software and procedures

  • Good understanding of both corporate and project document control processes

  • Ability to liaise with affiliate offices and provide support as and when required

  • Fluent in written and spoken English language

  • Good management and organization skills. Able to provide good management support to projects in all matters relating to document control
