Amec Foster Wheeler IT Assistant in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Wood is currently looking for an IT Assistant to work out of our office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This position will be part of the client's Owners Support team and is expected to last for approximately twelve months.
Our clients are setting up a new Joint Venture business which will take crude oil and produce a wide range of bulk chemical products. The project will be a first of a kind investment with a fully integrated 600,000 bpd refinery and chemicals complex including two parallel ethylene crackers, and with limited co-production of fuels. All the individual parts of the project will be world scale, and the integration will deliver world beating production efficiency. The TIC is likely to be of the order of $20-$25 Billion making it one of the largest ever single-phase investments in the petrochemicals industry.
Provide efficient end-user hardware / software problem resolution and support as assigned by the job ticketing system, Infra-enterprise
Facilitate timely hardware moves, additions, and changes. Perform timely Workstation / Laptop configurations / reconfigurations. Ensure all IT services requirements, such as computer configurations and hardware moves, are performed in a timely and efficient manner
Execute various network and infrastructure support functions, as assigned by the Operations Area Lead, printer / plotter / scanner installation and maintenance
Perform office-specific, non-standard IT tasks per agreements with local office management (e.g. telephone support)
Undertake IT Project assignments as directed by the Operations Area Lead (e.g. Office startups, migrations, and other special initiatives)
Achieve Service Level Agreement on work assigned within the job ticketing system, Infra-enterprise
Ensure tasks assigned by Operations Area Lead are completed within a reasonable time frame. Ensure internal and external stakeholders are satisfied with the level of service provided. Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Ensure other goals as set out in the annual PDR are met
Read, understand, promote, and, at all times, abide by the ‘Global IT Employee Confidentiality Policy’
Read, understand, and obey the HSSE policies arrangements / procedures and rules as issued. Work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments as provided
Report to immediate supervisor all incidents, which have or could result in personal injury or environmental damage
Be an active role model and promote the Amec Foster Wheeler values and Code of Business Conduct
Be self-motivated, happy to work in a team environment, customer service-oriented, and keen to learn new skills and technologies
Have the willingness to carry out a variety of duties in order to provide service delivery to our internal clients
Technical college IT degree or High school qualification with relevant IT work experience
Minimum of 2-5 years working in a business IT environment
IT Operations-related certification(s) from a recognized college, or specialized training institution
